What was the goal of the project?
GIAN (Green Initiatives Anchoring Nature) is an intensive and immersive Erasmus+ training course designed to strengthen community organizing and grassroots mobilization competencies among youth workers across Europe, combining hands-on learning, critical reflection, and peer exchange to shift traditional leadership models toward inclusive, community-driven approaches; with a strong focus on sustainability and ecological regeneration applied to social development, the project equips participants to design step-by-step local action plans or campaigns—grounded in real community needs through mapping, stakeholder engagement, and participatory decision-making—aimed at protecting and restoring local ecosystems, while simultaneously promoting international cooperation, the sharing of best practices, and the development of future collaborative initiatives within the European framework.
