In October 2025, Young Effect APS had the pleasure of hosting a group of teachers from Denmark who work in education for students with disabilities. This visit was part of an Erasmus+ Adult Education project, co-funded by the European Commission.
During the week, we explored a variety of Italian initiatives focused on inclusion, empowerment, and social innovation. Our visit to La Quercia allowed us to exchange best practices aimed at enhancing the autonomy and skills of people with disabilities, creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and shared learning.
We also held an online meeting with a cooperative that works alongside municipalities to support children in vulnerable situations. This was followed by a visit to a family home providing care and refuge prior to reintegration or adoption, offering an experience that was both deeply moving and inspiring.
The program concluded with a visit to Osteria DinDonDan, a restaurant that employs exclusively people with disabilities, demonstrating in a tangible way the value of inclusive employment and diversity in the workplace.
This exchange highlighted the importance of European cooperation in adult education. By promoting mutual learning and the sharing of good practices, initiatives like this contribute to building a more inclusive society across Europe.
