MOOC on Community Organisers
A MOOC to begin and effort of digitalizing learning on community organising and disseminate the competence building and principle within, and outside our partnership, with free access to all to participate in the online course.

Our MOOC is composed of 15 lesson on the following topics:
The content are the follows:
Introduction to what is community organising and its application to local and European youth work , Alinsky's 11 principles;
Youth community observation and factfinding methodology, subjective cultural anthropology observation, listening tours and survey methodology;
Tools for analysing the root of the problem, assessing existing challenges and community needs and wants, and underlying common values (test) Level 1 Badge;
Community organiser : developing the story of me - what is my connection as youth worker to the community and the problem that needs solving
Community organiser : develop the story of us - what is my connection to the community and the story that brings the community together;
Community organiser : develop the story of now - what is the story that connects me and us to the current situation in the community and how to use this to formulate the "Vision of Tomorrow". (Test) Level 2 Badge;
Identifying local leadership - Observation and competence assessment and motivation monitoring to identify community leaders;
Empowering leaders - Support measures for the acknowledgmenet of leadership roles and competence based tasks (training, mentoring, coaching) - Extra curricular tutorial on coaching;
Multiplying leaders - Use of GANTT and Logical Framework Matrix to organise teams towards roles and tasks (Test) Level 3 badge;
Network building - Principles of advocacy and lobbying;
Network building - categorising activist, supporter, volunteer and sympathisers through external communication;
Network building - principles of campaigning and external communication strategies (Test) Level 4 badge;
Towards Action - Principles on offline and online activisim and actions through the methdology of nonviolent direct action and guerrilla marketing;
Towards Action - Nonviolent communication, establishing dilemma actions, gain momentum and support;
Towards Action - Establishing the language of reconciliation and build on the results - planning the next steps - (test) level 5 badge. Extra curricular tutorial on organisational management. Final Test for the Community Organiser attendance certification. A webportal will be created that will act as a Youth Community Organiser Starter Pack, which will have the MOOC at its core and include the other Intellectual Outputs foreseen as interactive online resources and downloadable resources, as for now, no materials exist concerning youth and community organising.
