Adult Mobility Job Shadowing- Digital Empowerment and Technological Innovation: Transforming Adult Education
Within the framework of the project Digital Empowerment and Technological Innovation: Transforming Adult Education, our association hosted a Greek partner organization for an Adult Mobility Job Shadowing experience focused on innovation, digital skills, and community-based adult learning.
The mobility aimed to promote the exchange of good practices, strengthen international cooperation, and explore how digital tools can enhance participation and active citizenship in adult education.
Podcast as a Digital Learning Tool
During the visit, we presented our podcast project as a practical example of digital empowerment. Participants observed the entire production process — from content planning and editorial strategy to recording and post-production.
The podcast serves as a tool to develop communication skills, digital competences, teamwork, and critical thinking among adult learners. By sharing our methodology, we created space for professional dialogue on how media can be integrated into non-formal education pathways.
Visit to Radio Magenta
A key moment of the mobility was the visit to Radio Magenta, where participants experienced a real broadcasting environment. They explored the technical setup of a local radio station and actively engaged in recording sessions.
This hands-on activity fostered peer learning and offered concrete insight into how community media can support lifelong learning and social inclusion.
Study Visit in Magenta
The programme also included a study visit dedicated to presenting the local context. We illustrated the social, cultural, and institutional landscape of Magenta, highlighting how our initiatives are rooted in the needs and characteristics of the local community.
Understanding the territorial dimension is essential when discussing innovation in adult education, as local identity and community engagement play a central role in shaping impactful projects.
Exploring Castelletto di Cuggiono and Parco del Ticino
The mobility concluded with a visit to Castelletto di Cuggiono and the surrounding area of Parco del Ticino. This moment allowed participants to reflect on sustainability, environmental awareness, and the connection between education, community development, and natural heritage.
Impact and Future Perspectives
This Adult Mobility Job Shadowing experience represented an important opportunity for professional development, mutual learning, and strategic networking at the European level.
Through dialogue, observation, and shared practices, we strengthened our common vision: promoting digital empowerment and technological innovation as transformative forces in adult education.
