Strong Arms
9-16 October 2021 Diano Marina/Abbiategrasso - Italy
"Strong arms" has been a Training Course realized from 9 to 16 October 2021. It hosted 20 youth workers from 10 European countries. These are youth workers who work daily with vulnerable population groups - young people from migrant communities between the ages of 18 and 30. In order to stimulate the resolution of the problems they face, Young Effect together with the project partners planned a series of activities which, through non-formal education methods, contributed to the achievement of the objectives of the training course.
As an effective and sustainable way to achieve the project goals as well as the Erasmus + program goals, Young Effect used interactive sessions, team games, outdoor activities, role playing, icebreakers, discussions, presentations, theater, Living Library and even more.
During the mobility the so-called experiential learning methodology were used. It included 5 phases, always starting from the so-called "Experience".
In the ideology of our organization, sport is recognized as one of the tools available for quality integration of migrants and refugees, a generator of positive human relations, a creator of positive role models and a facilitator of inter-ethnic bonds.
The pursuit of victory itself is a strong incentive for human behavior and when people of different ethnicities are part of a team and struggle together to win, it creates many strong and healthy friendships that survive even years of ethnic prejudice.
During the planned mobility, sport was promoted as a non-formal education tool, which has the power to promote social inclusion and socialization through equal participation opportunities.
