Summary of the project:

People that are living in rural and isolated areas, cope with difficulties for basic needs, such as job, education, health and transportation. When they are compared to those living in cities, disadvantageous youngsters are in need of more support than others to build their future, because, even if are trying to create value according to their capacity, they don’t have enough knowledge on how to do this. 

Our TC is designed to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth workers and youth leaders working with a main target group: young people in rural and suburban areas struggling with social exclusion, poverty, unemployment and so develop in them a new spirit for challenges and initiatives, we want to let those youth workers understand the importance of reflection that must become concrete action, starting for example by re-evaluation and developing of their ideas, to be used in a functional and sustainable way in their local with the other youngsters during their youth work. 

The training course will be based on the principles and practice of non-formal education taking into account participants’ needs, motivations and experiences. We plan a variety of methods to allow involvement of participants with different learning styles and to ensure a balance between theory and practice. Throughout the days of training, starting from the understanding of the rurality concept and main characteristics, passing through the study of the young people living in rural areas' needs and obstacles of youth worker may encounter in rural areas, we want to make influence in the participants developing in them skills in the area of rural/social entrepreneurship, conflict management, leadership and teamwork, providing them with the knowledge on how youth workers working with young people in rural and suburban areas struggling with social exclusion, poverty can develop new spirit for challenges and initiatives, becoming a guide for the youngsters at their local, letting them understand the importance of reflection that must become concrete action, starting for example by re- evaluation and re-developing of already existing ideas, to be used in a functional and sustainable way in their local.

Participating countries: Erasmus+ Programme countries. We are looking for participants from Croatia, Canary Island, Lithuania, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria.

Accomodation: La Scala di Giacobbe guest house. 3-4 people per room with same gender. (no single rooms available)

Target group: Youth workers, project leaders, youth leaders and basically anyone who is involved in youth work in rural areas and interested in youth work innovations and ready to share them with their organization and local stakeholders through follow-up. 2-3 participants per country, 20-35 years old.

Financial conditions: Training course will be implemented in the framework of EU “ERASMUS+” Programme. The accommodation and food will be covered fully. 

Travel reimbursement: Only the most economical tickets will be approved.

Food special conditions: Food will be prepared by our volunteers and will be the same for all the participants. Therefore we cannot guarantee specific dietary differentiation with the exception of vegetarian food and not pork.

Selection will be realized by project partner so after you will submit your application we will give your info to the project partners for the selection.
