Hosting Organisation: Young Effect

From 30 April to 8 May 2023 in Arma di Taggia - Sanremo - Italy  (30 April and 8 May are travel days)

Topic of the project:

“We vote for Europe” Training Course born on the background of a disinterest of young people both in Europe and in Italy regarding the democratic process and in- volvement in civil society. This main issue was identified during “VOTE EU” Semi- nar by 3 of the partners involved. Election rate from 2019 votation is 50.62% (42.61% in 204). Still a rate of absent in European elections were young people (18-35).

Ojectives:

1. Improve EU-related knowledge (European legislative process) and among 27 youth workers from 8 countries, through thematic sessions/meetings with members of the Magenta and Taggia political institutions, cities where rate of youth voting was over the national average, in order to seek and know good practice examples to foster active participation, during 7 days;

2. Develop key competences related to active citizenship / European Citizen- ship among 27 youth workers from 8 countries, through thematic workshops and follow-up actions, during 12 months;

3. Encourage the democratic and civic participation of at least 300 young peo- ple from the 8 communities through a better understanding of the functioning of National/EU institutions by implementing specific actions (campaign on- line, workshops) for 4 months.

4. Implementing the proposed activities our training course will contribute to streng- thening young people's belonging to the EU common space and to understand the legislative procedures and the functioning of EU institutions, as well of National in- stitutions (President, Government). 

5. The project will also improve the dialogue bet- ween youth workers/leaders and their representatives at National/European level (members of the parliament, local representatives).

Schedule of the training will be given to participants before the mobility.

At the end of the project it will be given the European Certificate called Youthpass.

Financial conditions: Travel reimbursement 100% (Maximum travel reimbursement: 275 Euro)
